The Fortune of All Fortune Cookies

Ok---this is for all of you who are tired of looking at my Valentines Day blog...and for everyone else because I've now got to tell everyone about our miracle that is on it's way in November!!!!! Yes, I wanted this to be the next post I put, and I had to wait for the perfect timing.

Just like when I told Josh. Yes, I took the pregnacy test(S)! without him. :) I love surprises WCIS (what can I say). So, I ordered custom fortune cookies from K&B bakery. But what should it say? Personal or standard? Witty or straightforward? After deciding on the text, I ordered the fortune cookies and upon receiving them, walked through the church with a box reading "FORTUNE COOKIES" on the side, hoping no one would ask??). After I took the pregancy tests (yes, I ordered the cookies before we were pregnant ;)My next obstacle was to convince him that I wanted Chinese food that night...and not say that it was a craving! :) PF Chang's is like one of my favs, so it was not a big deal to request it. The shocking part was that I made the reservations--done deal!

So, we went to PF Chang's that night....after a LONG dinner (to me), I slipped away to the restroom and on the way handed 4 fortune cookies to our waitress. She handed them to Josh with our desserts. He opened it up to read "Josh, we are having a baby! I love you!" He was SILENT and looked at me and said are you serious. He kissed me right then and there...and then he grabbed my hand and asked if I wanted to run across the street to Pottery Barn Kids. What a night!

So, here we are after opening the fortune cookies. These were the 2 extras, which I, of course, wanted to put inside the big bowl of other fortune cookies at the restaurant. How funny would that be??? I didn't, but I sure did think about it.

So, now everynight we pray for FC, as we are calling
the baby..Fortune Cookie....which is much better in my opinion than "it" until we know the gender. So, feel free to call the baby by its nickname!

I am 14 weeks today. The baby is the size of a clenched fist--sounds kind of agressive to me, but next week we get to go to an orange. Josh is kind of upset b/c I must have missed the week where it was the size of a nutter butter....or is that coming? I can't keep up! Anyways, he wants to be sure to be a consumer of nutter butters when that week comes just to celebrate the occasion!

So, mark your calendars...November 5th...give or take several days! Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord!

Ok- the next problem we encountered....we had to wait a month to tell my family...it was just too perfect...my dad's b-day was at the end of the month.... I'll tell you about it next. :)
