AT LAST
...we made it to Christopher's World Grille in College Station! This has been a 5-year process...ending in a celebration at my FAV restaurant. If you've never been there, you gotta go. Josh always said he would treat me to dinner there when I finished my 3,000 hours to receive my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) certificate.
Praise the LORD!
I ordered, happily, the lobster linguini. YUMMO. Josh ordered the "best steak he ever had." I hadn't been to this delicious establishment since my 20th birthday. They had added on since then and when the waiter found out how interested we were in the new renovations, he offered to give us an after dinner tour of the new banquet wing. Um...I think he maybe mistakened us for ATM donors or something--he sure was treating us nice. Little did he know...gotta be true to your CRU.
Have to brag on my friends...
In September, some of my friends from college got together for a weekend to catch up! I was very excited about it, but that's all I knew about the weekend (other than I knew I would be 7.5 months pregnant at at the lake----no waterskiing for me!) Oh, yeah, and I also knew that one of our friends, Lauren, was getting married in soon, so we were all going to give her a little shower--so we were all going to bring wedding gifts! WELL, come to find out as we ate lunch on Saturday, someone says something about the shower to Jeremy (Christy's brother, Amanda's husband). Jeremy got the weirdest look on his face and tried to change the subject. Everyone at the table was dead quiet. Then Christy busts out laughing and tells us that she had planned a double shower -- one for Lauren and one for me! Not to mention they did a hawaiian theme ... Lauren and I walked downstairs to find the whole lakehouse kitchen fully decked out in hawaiian decor..Yay! (thank you, Sommer, I know you provided many boxed of hawaiian fun!)
My sister was thrilled b/c she said they "pulled a Suki-shower" in reference to the Gilmore episode where they threw a surpise shower for Suki--and yes, even decorated onesies! I could go into what they decorated for Lauren, but I won't. We'll just leave it at that.
A baby-nursery-lingere-wedding shower.....yes, it was so fun and unique!
Here's the gang---Sommer (my roomie from college--all 4 years!) Christy, Andrea, Linds, Me, Amanda, and Lauren.
