ING ...

So, I'm proud of my little businessman. This is a pic of his company office in NYC on Avenue of the Americas. Seinfeld trivia: This is the building that is shot in Seinfeld as Elaine's office.....just so you know!

Silver Bells, Silver Bells...

"...it's Christmas time in THE CITY." Ok, so there's a good lookin' man in front of Sax 5th Avenue..what more could a girl ask for?
The tree at Rockefeller

Not too bad of a view for your 28th b-day, huh, Josh?

I had the blessing of meeting a dear friend from high school, Cortney. We met at Nespresso Coffee shoppe and we caught up on the past 5 years! I love that she hasn't changed a bit. Same laugh. Same heart.

Steve Tyrell at Cafe Carlyle

This is right outside of a coffee shop right before we flew into a cab to go to the Carlyle.

The best part? There was no zoom on this camera...yes we were really that close to that famous voice singing, "Just the Way You Look Tonight."

He closed out the show with his version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and had the whole crowd join in. I loved every minute of it, although Josh is regretting the money I wasted b/c I was so excited I could not eat. :) ha ha.

Snow! Snow! Snow in Central Park and Bryant Park!

Leslie, I knew you'd like this pic. Doesn't it spontaneously inspire some kind of poetry?

Times Square

Times square...always a sight to see. My favorite spot was the Toys R Us. An indoor ferris wheel? I was impressed.

Macy's !

Macy's -- what a thrill! The decor was simply breathtaking with Christmas wonder. I couldn't resist taking a picture of this little guy (below) writing his letter to Santa under what I think was a huge golden "Believe" meter.

One of my favorite spots on this earth...the NYC Macy's shoe department (It sure is almost an entire FLOOR in depth). And I'm a deep person. :)

The whimsical journey continued in Santa's Wonderland. Although we don't have kids of our own, we had fun being kids! This train was only part of the huge exhibit. One of the best parts was our cashier on the Christmas floor was named "Joy." I made sure to tell her Merry Christmas in response to her pleasant but lacking, "Happy Holidays."

NYC Night Life

Some sights we saw on our last night in NYC.
It took a few shots for me to get the full effect of this one! I thought everything was bigger in Texas, but I was wrong after this trip. Notice how far these ornaments climb up the Chase building.

Window Shopping...

The last night we were there, we went around the city that doesn't sleep looking in every store window we wanted to. Josh, of course, was in heaven when he saw the Apple store in all its glory. He was also happy that among all the glitzy department stores, the Apple store was open! The store windows were quite a sight to see the week before Christmas. The song Silver Bells, takes on a whole new meaning when you think of it being written for NYC!

I LOVE this pic. We got Elena this tutu for her 2nd birthday. I heard she's worn it several more times since we left that day. She's quite the big sister now to Naomi, born on October 24th. Notice the shirt she has on...Green Eggs and Ham. Maci said she insisted that Naomi get a newborn one just like it!

I lovingly called this in my picture album-- "The Thanksgiving that Wasn't! " But I don't really mind...as long as my Jack is alive! He had a fainting spell right before the meal. I teased that I hadn't even served anything yet, so he couldn't blame it on that. It was quite an exciting day at the BW Clubhouse. We knew he was coming to when he said "Why did you call the ambulance?" That sounded more like it. My grandmother has a picture of the thanksgiving table and the next picture she took on her camera was of me, Josh and Jack at St. Lukes. It was a memory, nonetheless. Jack said he waited until after the wedding to pull this stunt!

I've got to brag on my husband...he made this fireplace for me! We had some great friends- Tom and Greg Curnutte to help us. We're going to stain in soon!

The best party-thrower of all... the MOB. She had a stellar silver and pink makeover party at Capelli's for Kayla's bridal brunch and updo party! I couldn't leave this detail out. This was the pink sign displayed at the entrance of the salon.

The Kiss

This is one of the Carr family traditions. Mom has one of her in the middle of Jajo and Bobby. I have one in the middle of mom and dad. This is the third in the line up. A few years ago for Christmas I put mine and my mom's pics together in a gold frame. It read "And they both lived happily ever after." I'm so glad we have Kayla's to add to the colection! Look closely, and you'll see another part of the tradition. With the MOB on the right, she is careful to NOT touch the bride's cheek b/c of her own lipstick. While the FOB, goes ahead and plants a good one!!!! It has happened in all 3 pictures.

Does she look happy or what??? The future Mrs. Smith in just a few minutes!
And how about those fur muffs and capes? Thanks to Mr. Pylant for the use of his '48 Olds. A grand vintage wedding it was!
